We are a small hobby breeder based on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border. I had wanted a Bengal for years and it was only when I lost my rescue collie dog and I couldn’t face having another dog that we decided the time was right to get my first Bengal. I grew up with Burmese cats which my mum bred and that is where the prefix is from.
Spice introduced us to the breed, she is a wondeful cat - lovely glittered coat, well marked rosettes, lovely white spotty tummy, a lovely temperament. However we were heartbroken to find that she is PRA affected and ended up blind at the age of two which is such a shame, she remains with us as our (somewhat noisy) shadow. I would have loved a kitten to keep from her, she would have made a lovely mum but it wasn't meant to be.
Our kittens are raised in our home, they are therefore used to all the usual household noises, they are used to children having grown up around our 4 year old and are used to dogs having grown up around our welsh sheepdog and mini american shepherd.
Our aim is to breed first and foremost for health therefore all our kittens are genetically clear of PRA and PK-Def and from parents who have been HCM screened clear and fiv/felv free. We also want to produce confident and happy kittens who are a good example of the bengal breed. We will have a variety of snows and browns, our snows will all be well marked as will all carry part of the charcoal genetics which does bring out really nice dark markings.
We are showing regularly and are members of The Bengal Cat Club and The International Bengal Cat Society to ensure we stay up to date with any breed developments. All our cats are dual registered with both TICA & GCCF.
